Wednesday Declared 'Black And Gold Day' In Pittsburgh

 

PITTSBURGH —

Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato and Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl have declared Wednesday "Black and Gold Day" in the city.

Pittsburgh Penguins fans are encouraged to show their pride by wearing the team's colors.

A rally is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at Mellon Arena's outdoor screen at Gate 3, prior to game 3 of the playoffs series between the Penguins and Capitals.

The Penguins mascot, Iceburgh, will be on hand.

Outdoor concessions will be open for food and drink purchases.

Grills, tents and alcohol are prohibited.
