The goal is to give the children and families of the Unit’s deployed soldiers a “Christmas to Remember.”
PA CareerLink is inviting businesses and individuals to donate to the cause so families of the men and women fighting overseas can have a joyous and memorable holiday season. Donations of toys, gift certificates, food and cash are being accepted. They can sent to or dropped off at:
PA Career Link Westmoreland County at Youngwood Attn: Sean Zielinski 151 Pavilion Lane Youngwood, PA 15697
The donations will be distributed to the soldiers and families of the 14th Quartermaster on December 13th, 2009 at the family Christmas party. At that time, a dinner will be served to all family members and Santa Claus will come in and handout gifts to the children.
The party will be videotaped then transferred to DVD’s and sent to all soldiers in the unit that are serving in Iraq. Each DVD will also contain a personalized message from the families to the soldier.
