JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. —
Police said the SUV was traveling in the northbound lanes of Route 51 when it crossed the median into the southbound lanes. They said her vehicle then went over the guide rail and through a creek before striking a tree.
Police said the SUV landed on its side, trapping the unidentified woman for a short time. She was taken to Jefferson Hospital and then flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Police have not released her condition.
Jefferson Hills police are investigating the accident.
