LATROBE, Pa. —
The unidentified woman said she saw the suspicious-looking man casing the Mountain Laurel Plaza CVS, thought something didn't seem right and decided to take a few pictures of the guy just in case.
Police said the man, armed with a gun and dressed in a hooded camouflage jacket and goggles, robbed the store before fleeing on an all-terrain vehicle.
The woman who snapped the photos told police she had been robbed in the past, saying it was that experience that led her to believe that the "disguised man on the ATV" was up to something.
“Realizing this behavior, someone just sitting there is kind of suspicious, she took her camera out,” said Trooper Stephen Limani. “She took her camera out, and she actually took photographs."
Even though the robber’s face is hard to make out in the photos, police hope someone will recognize the ATV and help match it back to the owner.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
