Zombie Video Wins Tons Of Chicken For Pittsburgh Food Bank

PITTSBURGH —

A Pittsburgh area man’s zombie video has resulted in 15 tons of chicken being donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

Tyson Foods and Tongal.comsponsored a video contest to honor people dedicated to eliminating hunger in their community.

The short film, "Zombie," by Keaton Manning, 16, a high school junior from Hookstown, was one of the winners.

Manning’s zombie video featured a food drive that was held in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Zombie Fest and Walk of the Dead in October at Monroeville Mall.

"I definitely think it’s a great thing and it was worth all my time spent on the video," he said. "And it’s comforting to know that I am helping out all these families,” Manning said.

More than 30,000 pounds of chicken arrived at the Food Bank Thursday.

The eight-week video contest ended Jan. 6 with winning videos coming from New York, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Maine.
