NORTH APOLLO, Pa. — A North Apollo woman is facing charges after she shoved a Pennsylvania State Police trooper and attempted to remove his gun from its holster, police said.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning, when troopers went to 40-year-old Angela Shaffer-Bizon’s home to conduct a welfare check, police said.

After troopers entered the home, Shaffer-Bizon became combative and ignored verbal commands, according to police. She then shoved a trooper and tried to grab his gun, police said.

Shaffer-Bizon was arrested and taken to the Armstrong County Jail. She is charged with disarming a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.
