WILKINSBURG, Pa. — One person who was shot in Wilkinsburg early Friday morning has died, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police were called just after midnight to the 1800 block of Montier Street for the shooting. The victim, who was later identified as 28-year-old Tarvus Gainer, was taken to a hospital, but later died.
Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic reported that the shooting might have happened in the doorway of a home.
Allegheny County Police are handling the investigation. They have not said if there are any suspects.
