EAST HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 22-year-old man was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle crash in East Huntingdon Township.
Timothy Cross Jr., of Scottdale, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Westmoreland County coroner said.
Cross was driving on Route 981 about 10:30 p.m. when his pickup truck went off the side of the road, struck a utility pole, rolled over and came to rest on its roof.
Cross was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck, state police said.
The coroner ruled Cross' death accidental and said speed is believed to have played a factor in the crash.
Toxicology results will not be available for several weeks.
