Pittsburgh Mayor Peduto to officiate marriage of 20 same-sex couples

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto is set to officiate his first wedding for a group of 20 same-sex couples.

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, at 11 a.m. in the council chambers at the City-County Building in downtown Pittsburgh.

The marriages will take place during PrideFest.

Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds are invited to participate in the Delta Foundation’s Pittsburgh Pride March, which will lead the group to a private wedding reception hosted by the Fairmont Pittsburgh.
