Pittsburgh's Christmas tree arrives at City-County Building

PITTSBURGH — Downtown Pittsburgh is ready for the holiday season with the arrival of the city’s Christmas tree Saturday.

The blue spruce stands tall outside the Pittsburgh City-County Building on Grant Street, having been donated by a family that lives on Noblestown Road. It was delivered Saturday morning.

Although the tree will remain undecorated until it is lit at noon on Nov. 18, Channel 11 News got a look at some of the special bicentennial ornaments that will adorn it. Each ornament has the name of a Pittsburgh neighborhood.
