JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Most people know it’s not a good idea to smoke around gas pumps. So when it happened at the Bilo gas station on Route 19 in Jackson Township, people called police.
“We went over. He wasn’t smoking cigarettes but marijuana. There was a strong stench coming from the car,” said Jackson Township Police Chief Terry Seilhamer.
Officer said they took six men out of a red SUV and couldn’t believe what they found inside -- 100 grams of marijuana, individually packaged and almost $8,000 in cash.
“It being individually packaged, we knew that these guys were selling it,” said Seilhamer.
Police said the men were driving through the area and on their way home to New York. They stopped to get gas and something to eat, police said.
Police thanked the people who called them.
“This is why we need people to call us and tell us what’s going on,” said Seilhamer.
