ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Following an 18-month-long investigation, authorities announced Thursday that 44 arrests warrants have been issued and 24 arrests have been made in a narcotics roundup.
The investigation involved 100 undercover buys, mostly for heroin, throughout Allegheny County and McKeesport.%

"If we keep doing this, it keeps the pressure on because this heroin is such a problem that it’s not something we're going to arrest our way out of. We have to keep trying to stop the flow,” Allegheny County Police Department Lt. Jeffrey Korczyk said.
A total of seven police agencies, the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration served the warrants.
