“Many people like myself feel very safe in Mt. Lebanon,” said Mt. Lebanon resident Marc Duchin. “We have a wonderful police force and excellent neighbors, so this is very surprising.”

Duchin moved to Mt. Lebanon 16 years ago for the quiet atmosphere.

According to police, the latest potential burglary attempt occurred when a man approached a woman’s home and rang the doorbell. When the woman answered the door, the man claimed that his wife’s cell phone was stolen and traced him to the house.

When the woman’s two adult sons came to the door, the man quickly left the area.

Brown is described as 34-years-old, 5'11" tall, 190 pounds with brown hair, and blue eyes. He most recently lived in Brentwood.

Police are asking anyone with information on Brown or his whereabouts to contact them.

They are also attempting to determine if there are any similarities to recent burglaries reported in Upper St. Clair and North Strabane Township.
