MIDDLETOWN — MIDDLETOWN — President Trump spent a little more than two hours on the ground in Harrisburg on Wednesday talking about his tax reform plan.
But not everyone here was on board.
"We want lower taxes, bigger paychecks and more jobs for American truckers and for american workers,” Trump said. “It's happening."

Speaking to a crowd of hundreds of supporters, he touted his tax reform plan. Among those in attendance, a group of truckers.
Trump talked about lowering their tax rates and boosting manufacturing.
“Nothing gets done without the hardworking men and women of trucking,” he said. “When trucks are moving, America is growing.”

Trump says his plan would cut corporate tax rates from 35 percent down to 20 and reduce the number of personal income tax brackets.
Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey wasn't in attendance, but has backed the framework of the president's plan.
But Democrats like Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey say the plan is a “massive tax giveaway to the superrich."
Two Pittsburgh natives protesting Wednesday's visit agree.
“I'm here to protest the tax plan,” said Douglas Ross, a Penn Hills native. “I don't believe the rich need to get more enriched.”
“We know that he's making money off of his position and these taxes would improve his financial future,” said Carol Stowell, a Pittsburgh native.
The president left with this message to lawmakers:
“All the great people we're working with,” he said, “all I can say is, you better get it passed.”
