Punk Gets Posh at New York Museum


It was an era of anti-establishment and rebellious statements complete with a style to dress -- leather jackets, tattered clothes and metal studs. And now the history of punk fashion is explored in this year's Costume Institute exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. While the movement was at its peak in the 1970s, its influence spread beyond the streets of New York and London, making its way into the studios of fashion designers for generations.
