Registered sex offender accused of trying to lure girl, 11, twice

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — A registered sex offender is in trouble again after he allegedly tried to lure an 11-year-old girl inside his Westmoreland County home on two different occasions, police said.

Edward Frisco, 48, declined to comment when confronted Tuesday about the allegations.

"I don't have a comment,” he told Channel 11 News.

State police said Frisco’s first conversation with the victim happened as she was getting of her school bus. Authorities said that while they were investigating the first luring attempt, Frisco tried to lure her again a week later.

“Mr. Frisco asks her in his own terminology to come over his house and participate in sexual activity, and obviously, the girl is extremely frightened and immediately notified her family of what had taken place,” Trooper Steve Limani said.

Frisco has already had to register as a sex offender for molesting a girl in Pottsville in 2012. Police said Frisco, who is on GPS monitoring, can’t have contact with anyone under 18 and has a curfew.

Neighbors said Frisco lives in Hunker throughout the winters, and they’ve never had a problem with him.

According to a criminal complaint, the 11-year-old victim told police that “she’s so terrified of Frisco doing something bad to her that she can barely sleep at night.”

"And we were down there once to talk to him, and the second time, just goes to show the type of person we're dealing with in this particular child luring case. We're very lucky we don't have any reports right now that any other people were assaulted. We're fortunate in that regard,” Limani said.

Frisco is facing charges of child luring, stalking and unlawful contact with a minor. He is in the Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
