Rochester native could become 2nd American to win gold in Winter, Summer games

Rochester native Lauryn Williams has already enjoyed success at previous Olympics, but she will be going for gold in bobsledding in Sochi.Williams won a silver medal in the 100 meters dash in Athens in 2004 and a gold medal in the 2012 London games in the relay.
When speaking with Channel 11, Williams said the United States Women’s Bobsled team has the potential to sweep the podium in Sochi.Back home in Rochester, Williams is getting plenty of support .
If she takes home the gold, Williams would become just the second American of all time to win gold in both the Winter and Summer games.
