A rumor is going around Pittsburgh that the film “Promised Land,” starring Matt Damon and John Krasinski, plans to shoot in Pittsburgh.
See & Be Seen's Carly Noel contacted the Pittsburgh Film Office about the rumor. The PFO said it has not been confirmed. Focus Features, which reportedly acquired rights to the film, has not commented.
According to IMDB.com, the film is about a salesman who experiences life-changing events after arriving in a small town.
Pittsburgh has become a popular place to film movies. Recent productions include “The Dark Knight Rises,” “One Shot” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” Those movies brought stars like Tom Cruise, Christian Bale and Emma Watson to our city.
