PITTSBURGH - Several major events are scheduled this weekend on the North Shore, and finding a place to park could be a challenge.
Among the events happening Saturday is the Pittsburgh Rib Fest, a Pirates game and the season opener for the Pitt Panthers.
The Panthers game begins at Noon at Heinz Field, the Pirates game starts at 4:05 at PNC Park and Rib Fest is going on all day near Heinz Field.
Pirates officials said they are not allowing drivers to use the North Shore lots unless they have a presold paring pass. Everyone else is being asked to park downtown and walk or take the T to the North Shore.
"We don't want to frighten anyone from coming to the Pirates game. We're in the middle of a pennant race here and we hope our fans can come and that they come and they're not aggravated," said team President Frank Coonelly.
