Shootout happens in family neighborhood in broad daylight

WILMERDING, Pa. — A shootout happened in a family neighborhood where kids often play on Middle Avenue early Tuesday evening.

"All I heard was bang, bang, bang, and I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?  It's broad daylight," said neighbor Carl Remly.

Remly said two of the gunmen used his front steps as cover as they fired down the street.

Two of Vanessa Moore's kids were outside during the shootout.  Her daughter was about to get off the bus when police rerouted it.

"They dropped them off all the way down by the park, and the kids had to walk home from there," said Moore.

Police chased two of the suspects to the Turtle Creek CVS just a mile down the road.  They're in custody, but another gunman got away.
