Updated:Remember all the great times you've had in the past at the South Park Fairgrounds? Well remembering is in the past! The South Park Rib Festival is at the South Park Fairgrounds this Labor Day Weekend September 4th 5th and 6th from 12p-10p.
Come taste famous BBQ from all of the country including ribs and wings sauced to perfection. There will be a 5k race/family walk Saturday morning at 9am through South Park benefiting the Luke Hadley Foundation. There will be lots of great prizes and giveaway after the race.
The gates will open for the Rib Fest at 12p. Throughout the weekend there will be 26 live bands including national recording artists Fuel Saturday the 4th, Marshall Tucker Band Sunday the 5th and Bon Journey Monday the 6th. A free kids zone with plenty of inflatables , face painting, tattoos, and much more.
Don't forget to check out gamer, Brandon Englert the #1 2009 call of duty champion in the country and battle him on site at the Rib and Wing Challenge. On site at there will also be a craft fair for you to browse through.
Thinking you won't be satisfied with the bands playing at the Rib and Wing Challenge? Well we have an oldies dance on Sunday from 2-5 with a rockin' oldies DJ that will keep you dancing all afternoon. And for all the families coming with teens, there will be a teen dance on Sunday night from 7-10 so your kids can dance the night away with kids from all over the area.
Topping off the Rib and Wing Challenge will be Allegheny Idol on Monday the 6th spotlighting local talent that can sing. The Rib and Wing Challenge will see you this Labor Day weekend to end your summer with a bang!
