Butler wins Eat'n Park Band of the Year contest

Congratulations to Butler -- the Eat'n Park Band of the Year contest winner!

The weekly winners during the regular football season were entered in the contest. 

WEEKLY WINNERS:

Week 1: West Allegheny

Week 2: Monessen

Week 3: Greensburg Salem

Week 4: Butler

Week 5: Hempfield

Week 6 (WPIAL A/City League): Frazier

Week 7 (WPIAL AA): South Allegheny

Week 8 (WPIAL AAA) Albert Gallatin

Week 9 (WPIAL AAAA): Plum

CONTEST RULES:

The 2012 Eat'n Park Band of the Week contest will took place every week during the regular football season. The Eat'n Park Band of the Year contest will start on Oct. 29 and end on Nov. 16.

The band with the most votes wins.

No purchase necessary. To be eligible to vote, users must be at least 13 years of age.

Every school in the WPIAL and Pittsburgh City League had a chance to win the Band of the Week.  Weeks 1-5 included schools on WPXI's Skylights schedule.  Week 6's contest included City League and WPIAL A schools.  Week 7's contest included WPIAL AA schools.  Week 8's contest included WPIAL AAA schools.  Week 9's contest included WPIAL AAAA schools.

A band could only win the Band of the Week contest once during the 2012 football season.

The nine weekly winners have been entered in our Band of the Year contest, which started on Oct. 29 and will end on Nov. 16.  The winner is typically announced during WPXI’s “My Macy’s Holiday Parade."  The winner will be invited to perform at 2013 Skylights Media Day at Heinz Field.
