Band Of The Year Contest

Congratulations to the 2011 Band of the Year -- Hempfield!

The winning band was announced during WPXI-TV's "My Macy's Holiday Parade" on Nov. 26.

Voting for the Band of the Year began on Friday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. and wrapped up on Monday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m.

The nine weekly winners during the 2011 high school football season were entered.

The weekly winning marching bands were featured on WPXI-TV and WPXI.com.

Every band in the City League and WPIAL had the chance to win at least one weekly contest. The winners were determined by voting.
