Clairton Moving On To PIAA High School Football Championships

WPIAL A team Clairton will play Southern Columbia at Hersheypark Stadium for the PIAA championship title. The defending PIAA champs play at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Braddock, meet Clairton. Fifty-one years after the powerhouse set the mark, long-closed Braddock's WPIAL record 46-game winning streak was matched by modern-day juggernaut Clairton.

On the team's way to making history, the Bears also became the first WPIAL school to reach a fourth straight PIAA Class A championship game by topping Sharpsville, 30-8, in Friday's state semifinal at Slippery Rock.
