Player Of The Year Contest

Congratulations to the Player of the Year -- Dorian Brown of Baldwin.

The announcement was made on the Jerome Bettis Show. All of the nominees were invited to attend the taping.

Voting for the Player of the Year began on Friday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. and wrapped up on Monday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m.

The nine weekly winners from the 2011 regular high school football season have been entered.

Each week, WPXI-TV's sports department nominated five outstanding players for the Player of the Week. The player with the most votes won.
