Seneca Valley -- Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Seneca Valley is proud to be the first high school in the world to present Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

This musical is based on the 1980’s movie Dirty Rotten Scoundrels staring Michael Kane and Steve Martin. The show is rated PG, by Music Theatre International, mainly for the language and subtle adult humor. We have changed all the profanity in the show to more suitable language for our audiences so parents with smaller children don’t have to be concerned. The main plot of this highly entertaining and energetic comedy deals with two con men, one a sophisticated gentleman by the name of Lawrence who makes his living by conning wealthy women out of their money and Freddy who is a two bit con artist happy to get a meal. The two meet and begin working together. When it becomes obvious that the small French town is too small for the both of them they agree on a bet to see who can get $50,000 from “The Soap Queen” a new wealthy American woman on the scene. What ensues is a hilarious comedy of errors as the two try to out do each other to win her favor. But what happens in the end? Does she figure them out? Do they get the money? You will have to come see the show on Feb. 27-28, March 6-7 at 7:30 p.m. or March 1 at 2 p.m. to find out.
