Myron Cope Remains Hospitalized

Former Steelers Sportscaster Battling Pneumonia

 

PITTSBURGH —

Retired Pittsburgh Steelers sportscaster Myron Cope is expected to be in the hospital for several more days.

Cope, 77, remains in stable condition with pneumonia at UPMC Presby.

Channel 11 has learned that Cope is heavily medicated.

A spokesman said Cope has been feeling ill for several months now.

Doctors will evaluate Cope's condition Monday.

He retired last summer after 35 years as a commentator for the Steelers.
