Porter Heads To Miami

Former Steeler Agreed To Contract With Dolphins

 

PITTSBURGH —

Former Steelers linebacker Joey Porter has a new contract.

Overnight, Channel 11's Alby Oxenreiter learned the pro bowler has agreed to a five-year contract with the Miami Dolphins.

Sources said the deal includes about $24 million in guaranteed money and a signing bonus in the neighborhood of $12 million.

Porter is expected to sign his new contract on Tuesday in Miami.

His final choices was between the Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals.

This year, the Steelers play the Dolphins at home.

The date for the game has not been set.
