Shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, Staley said he "lost" $100,000 worth of jewelry -- a platinum bracelet and diamond earrings -- while he was getting roughed up by club security.
Richland County Lt. Chris Cowan said the police department is still trying to figure out why Staley would be denied entry to the club, or how the jewelry could have been taken off Staley and simply disappear.
No one was hurt, and no one was arrested.
Police were not called at the time of the fight.
