Steeler Kendall Simmons Faces Diabetes Battle

When you think of Kendall Simmons the image of a big, Steelers offensive player may come to mind.

But Simmons is trying to shed light on a different side of his life.

Channel 11 sports reporter Bill Phillips talked to Simmons about his personal struggle and what he wants to make sure your family is talking about.

During the 2003 season Simmons was sidelined because of his diabetes diagnosis.

He continues to check his blood sugar levels daily before and after practice.
