PITTSBURGH —
Friday, the team will announce plans to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
During the season-long celebration, Steeler legend Mean Joe Green will be chairing the festivities.
A new mascot will also be unveiled.
The team said it looks like a steel worker and there will be a contest to name him.
And the players will wear throwback jerseys for two games.
The uniforms could include a gold helmet, like the ones the Steelers used to wear in the 50s and 60s.
