Steelers Player Apologizes About Arrest

12-Year NFL Veteran Arrested

PITTSBURGH —

A Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman was arrested over the weekend.

Barrett Brooks was arrested early Sunday morning on the South Side when he allegedly fled from police on a motorcycle.

The 12-year NFL vet was charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving and driving at an unsafe speed.

According to the police report, he was not wearing a helmet.

Right now, there is no comment from the Steelers.

Channel 11's sports reporter Bill Phillips spoke with Brooks on Sunday.

Brooks said he's OK, but was unable to make a comment at that time.

On Monday, Brooks apologized to the public at Steelers Training Camp.
