PITTSBURGH —
Seiler, a second-year linebacker who spent parts of the past two seasons on the Steelers' practice squad, was originally drafted by the San Fransisco 49ers in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2004 NFL draft.
He saw action in seven games as a rookie, finishing the season with one assisted tackle on defense and six special teams stops.
Seigler signed with the Steelers on Nov. 9, 2005, and spent the remainder of the season with the team.
He was released during training camp in 2006, but was added to the practice squad on Dec. 23.
