Steelers' Roethlisberger Returns To Practice

PITTSBURGH —

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned to practice Thursday after an apparent scare at Wednesday's optional team practice.

Roethlisberger limped off of the field due to left knee discomfort but did not appear to be seriously injured.

Roethlisberger, who led the Steelers to two Super Bowl victories the last four seasons, had some problem walking when he left the team's training complex Wednesday but his knee was not bandaged.

Big Ben did wear a wrap around his left knee during Friday morning's coaching session.

Willie Parker told Channel 11 he had a little to do with Roethlisberger's latest minor injury.

"It was alright, we bumped knees on a certain play...He's definitely a warrior," Parker said.

Neither Roethlisberger nor head coach Mike Tomlin discussed Roethlisberger's problem, and Tomlin said there would be no update.

Roethlisberger is scheduled to play golf Friday in an event at Bethpage Black, the site of this month's U.S. Open.
