Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger twisted his right ankle and left practice early on Thursday.
Channel 11’s Bill Phillips was at the practice when Roethlisberger twisted his ankle.
Roethlisberger said he stepped on someone's foot and then rolled his ankle.
The quarterback said he will be fine.
Phillips talked to backup quarterback Byron Leftwich, who said he is ready to play if needed.
Dealing with ankle injuries is nothing new to Roethlisberger, who played the final month of the 2011 season with a badly sprained left ankle.
He is off to the best start of his career and currently ranks fourth in the NFL with a 99.9 quarterback rating for the Steelers.
