Sykora's Game Winning Goal Predicition Turns Into Photo Made By Fan

PITTSBURGH —

While on the bench late in the second overtime during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, Petr Sykora turned to NBC's Pierre McGuire, pointed to himself and said he would score the winning goal for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Sure enough, Sykora buried a power play goal in the third overtime to give the Penguins a 4-3 win.

Supposedly, legendary ball player Babe Ruth pointed to the center field bleachers at Wrigley Field before hitting a home run on the very next pitch many years ago.

There's little proof of that event actually taking place, but some claim a grainy photograph captured it in time.

One fan inserted Sykora into the photo and it quickly made its way around the Internet. Many fans, still beaming with pride over their team's efforts this season, have emailed Channel 11 asking for a copy.
