PITTSBURGH —
While the Steelers beat the Bengals 24-10, Hines Ward catches two touchdown passes to become the Steelers' all-time leader.
The two touchdown catches give Ward 64 in his career, one more than Hall-of-Famer John Stallworth.
After the game Ward said, "It's definitely a great feeling to surpass Mr. Stallworth, Mr. Swann with the touchdown record. It was something that, just a credit that hard work can pay off. I mean, I worked my tail off ever since I been in this league. I worked my way up through special teams. It was something I really wanted bad coming into this year. Wow. You know, you only need five, six touchdowns to get the record and just a great feeling, especially on a night where it was a big game."
More Details On Ward's Career: His first touchdown catch came on Sept. 12, 1999 against Cleveland. It was thrown by Tommy Maddox. Ward has caught touchdown receptions from eight different passers. That includes six quarterbacks, one running back and one wide receiver. Ben Roethlisberger has thrown 23 touchdown passes to Ward. That is the most by any one person. Ward also 14 touchdown catches in the post-season, giving him 78 all-time.
