PITTSBURGH - Spring officially begins on Thursday, but Severe Weather Team meteorologist Valerie Smock says it will start with snow flurries.
Wednesday’s temperatures will reach the mid 50s, with wind gusts reaching over 30 mph. A cold front will move in, bringing with it widespread showers Wednesday afternoon.
The showers will taper off overnight, with temps dipping down to 34 degrees.
A few snow showers and flurries are possible Thursday morning, Smock said.
“I’m not convinced we will see much, but we’ll continue to track this,” said Smock.
The high Thursday will be colder with highs only reach 44 degrees.
A warm-up is in store for the end of the week, with highs reaching 52 degrees on Friday.
