Both closures of the tunnel will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and end at 6 a.m. on Monday.

These closures will allow for crews to continue to remove the outbound tunnel ceiling and work on the outbound bridge over Commercial Street.

When work is completed, the eastbound tunnel will have a new vertical clearance of 14 feet, 9 inches, up from the previous height of 13 feet, 6 inches.

The Western inbound tunnel will remain open while the outbound tunnel is closed, though short-term inbound traffic congestion may occur due to equipment access and material removal.
