VANDERGRIFT, Pa. — A father and daughter were injured when a swing set collapsed on them in at Kennedy Memorial Park in Vandergrift Wednesday.

Anayah Brackman, 10, was pinned underneath the crossbar and her father, Luis Brackman, was hit by it, knocking him to the ground, officials said.

"The dad said he had some neck and back pain.  I checked on the daughter to see what was wrong with her.  She said her belly was hurting," said witness Sheree Held.

People who use the park said the swing set is more than 40 years old.

The two were taken to Forbes Regional Hospital and were released.

On Thursday, Channel 11's Joe Holden reported that the hospital later found a compound fracture in the girl's spine, and she was rushed to Children's Hospital.
