Teen killed in ATV accident remembered by friends

ELIZABETH, Pa. — A 16-year-old is being remembered by friends after being killed Friday night in an ATV accident while motocross racing.

Andrew Kraemer was racing his ATV at Latrobe Speedway Motorsports when he hit a large tractor tire, after being ejected from his quad runner as it went over a jump in the track.

"I was so sad from hearing the news. You never expect a kid like this to be gone so quick like that," said Ethan Assenti, a friend of Kraemer’s.

Friends and classmates have been taking to social media, posting about the loss of the Kraemer.

"He always had such a positive attitude. He was always quiet but he knew what to say at the right times. And that's one of the best things that you can ask from someone," said Assenti.

The speedway posted the following message on Facebook about Kraemer’s death”

“This comes from a very heavy heart, at our race event last night we lost a very courageous young quad rider. Our extreme condolences goes out to the Andrew Kraemer Family. Andrew raced in quad B. Please keep his family in your prayers as they go through this very sad process. This has been a very difficult time for everyone. This year has been very difficult for the sport we all love.”
