Man charged with homicide in Sept. 25 killing in Beaver Falls

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — UPDATE: A man wanted in a shooting incident in Beaver Falls last week turned himself in, police said.

According to Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier, Patrick Haynes turned himself in Friday night near Harrisburg in Derry Township, Dauphin County.


ORIGINAL STORY: A man was killed and a woman was flown to a hospital after a shooting early Friday morning in Beaver Falls, officials said.

The shooting was reported shortly after 1 a.m. at a home at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 14th Street.

A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead, police said. The woman who was flown to the hospital is 23 years old.

Police had the street taped off, and about half a dozen officers were seen on the porch of the home.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the City of Beaver Falls Police Department.
