Airport officials announce 3 more nonstop flight destinations from PIT

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — You can now fly to three more destinations nonstop out of Pittsburgh International Airport.

OneJet has added flights from Pittsburgh to Kansas City, Missouri, Memphis, Tennessee; and Palm Beach, Florida to the list of nonstop flights.

Airport officials along with OneJet airline executives and local and business leaders made the announcement Wednesday.

Palm Beach and Kansas City service will begin March 7 with Memphis service added on March 27.

Tickets to these routes will go on sale Jan. 17.

Airport officials said the addition of the flights will bring the number of nonstop flights to PIT to 72, which is double the destinations served over the past few years.

The airport is also on track to finish 2017 with nearly 9 million passengers, the highest total in a decade, officials said.

Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald says nonstop air service is important to growing Pittsburgh's economy.

Just last month, Pittsburgh International Airport announced nonstop flights to Seattle by Alaska Airlines as another potential lure to reel in Amazon.
