DUQUESNE, Pa. — Police are crediting the community for the arrest of three people accused of trying to get into an elderly woman's home Tuesday in Duquesne.
Investigators said Michael Battles, Glenn Griffin and Shantel Griffin were seen lurking around Orchard Park Housing Community around 2 p.m.

Around that same time, a neighbor called 911 after seeing Shantel Griffin knocking on the door of an elderly woman’s home. The homeowner did not answer the door. The three people left the scene, police said.

Officers spotted the van leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop.
Inside the van, they found a small amount of marijuana and two loaded guns, police said.
All three were taken into custody and were charged with gun and drug law violations.
