HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are searching for a man they say chased and shot another man in Harrison Township early Friday morning.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Omar Sandling, 44, charging him with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and weapons violations.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was shot multiple times behind a building at the Sheldon Park Housing Complex along Park Avenue around 2:30 a.m., investigators said.

“I was laying in bed asleep. I heard what I thought was a gunshot go off and I sat up,” said neighbor Fred Semprevivo, who lives a few doors down. “Couple seconds later, I heard another one go off. I got up out of bed to look out my window. Just before I opened the curtain, I heard three more shots go off.”

He was transported to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition but expected to survive.

Neighbors tell Channel 11 the victim lived in the complex and that he and Sandling had a dispute involving a daycare across the street that turned violent.

A neighbor told Channel 11 she witnessed the shooting.

"I heard shots fired. I came to the end and three more shots were fired and he dropped to the ground.  I picked him up and took him to the hospital," Heather Slusser said.

“He knows who shot him. Everyone who is out here last night, knows who shot him."
