Attorney General Jeff Sessions wants a review of the FBI database used in gun background checks.
The attorney general directed the Federal Bureau of Investigation, ATF and Department of Defense to determine whether other agencies are failing to report information on the database.
The move follows the latest mass shooting inside a Texas church.
That shooter was able to buy guns after the Air Force failed to submit his domestic abuse conviction to the database.
