Beaver Co. food pantry robbed right before Thanksgiving

Faith Restoration Food Pantry in Beaver County was robbed on Tuesday.

For the past year and a half every Tuesday and Thursday, Faith Restoration Food Pantry has served more than 150 needy families in and around Darlington Township, Beaver County.

Sometime Tuesday, volunteers say thieves busted through the back doors and raided eight fridges, eight freezers, stealing $2,000 in meat plus tons of food off the shelves.

TRENDING NOW:

“They broke through the door they took everything -- all our meat that we had in the freezers,” Candi Mcmunn, a volunteer at the food bank, said.

Mcmunn's Heart is crushed. Food for the needy in her community was stolen in broad daylight.

Now a day before Thanksgiving, she tears up just talking to us about it.

Within hours of hearing this, the community stepped up and take a look they donated all of this and filled the freezers back up

An act of violence that turned into an act of kindness. Volunteers say how can you not be thankful for that.
