The district and Bethel Park police have said those threats had no credibility, but new threats surfaced against additional schools on social media, prompting tomorrow's closure, according to an alert sent to parents.
School is canceled in all BPSD schools on Oct. 12. Please call the BPPD if you know who is making threats to our schools.

“While the Bethel Park Police Department does not believe these latest threats to be credible, we believe it is in the best interest of our students and staff to cancel school,” the district said.
The school instituted a series of new security policies after the initial threats, including students being allowed to bring only necessary bags and equipment for after school activities. No backpacks were going to be allowed on Thursday.
