Box truck hits Oakland building after being rear-ended

PITTSBURGH — A box truck crashed into a building in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood Monday morning after it was rear-ended by a car, Channel 11 News has learned.

The accident was reported about 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and McKee Place.

Investigators said a car hit the truck from behind. The truck then struck the building, while the car’s front end went under the back of the truck.

Two people who were in the car were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
