CLAYSVILLE, Pa. — On a tucked away field in Washington County, fifth and sixth-graders on McGuffey Little Highlander's practice passing, hitting and catching.
One thing they're already really good at is being inclusive teammates.
In a video being shared all over social media from a game last Sunday, number 42 Casey Adams scored his first touchdown
You can see how his teammates blocked and ran with him, and how even the opposing team showed good sportsmanship.
Casey didn't walk on his own until he was 3 and he didn't run until he was 6.

“He's been able to really improve those gross motor skills and run and do things with the other boys and it's given him the confidence to do those things too so it's been awesome,” said Bill Adams, Casey’s dad.
His teammates might not know all the challenges Casey deals with having Down syndrome, because they look beyond that and are proud to call him a teammate.
“They've welcomed him with open arms and accepted him as Casey, nothing else, as Casey. He's part of the team,” Bill Adams said.
This is Casey’s first year on the Little Highlander's Football team and he's been on the soccer team for a few years.
